Reflections & Thank You's

Tamika T Taylor, Lurie Daniel Favors, Diane C. Bailey, & Natasha Gaspard

Words cannot express how full my heart is with how the Nappily Ever After Watch Party event turned out. To all the Beautiful Melinated Queens who showed up, I LOVE YOU! To me, there is no greater feeling than when people want to be a part of the magic you are trying to creating. Thank you for posting about the event and tagging @_partoftheconvo in your posts and stories, a little visibility goes a long way!

Thank you to Natasha and Mane Moves Media for having this idea and enlisting my help to make it happen. Thank you to our wonderful panelist, Diane C. Bailey and Lurie Daniel Favors for saying the things we needed to hear and using your powerful voices to do all the good in this world.

Thank you to one of my favorite people in the whole universe, my cousin/personal photographer Steve Williams, for capturing the event on film. We have quite literally been BFFs since birth and he has always been there for me when I need him the most. He is also a DOPE ASS photographer: Steve WIlliams Photography

Thank you to Shannae and Artistic Delights, LLC. for the DELICIOUS food provided for the event. DEE-LI-SHUSSSSSS!!

Thank you to Lisa and Janae for assisting with check-in for the event. It's the little things that go a long way.

Thank you to Shea Moisture for the goodie bags for the event. The true value of #FullSizedProducts in gift bags can never be underestimated!!

Last, and most certainly not least, thank you to Duncan at ThoughWorks NYC for allowing us to do this event and encouraging the conversation to continue regardless of the time.

All together, the night was AMAZING and I'm ready to do it again!!!

  • First up is "We Love You, Sis!", a monthly event designed to create a physical safe space for Black women to chat, laugh, cry, vent, and enjoy each others company.

  • Next, I want to get a head start on the Black History Month sprint. Stay tuned to Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook for updates and asks for The 2nd Annual POTC presents Black History Month.
